mega rant comming in hot. after a rough week of midterms i find it more and more difficult to go to class. its hard to justify going into class when my commute (1hr 30min) is longer than my 120 minute class. I need to get my shit together ASAP. checking out this article about how they installed a 3G ATT tower on mt. everest base camp. Who said ATT doesn’t cover everyone? You can tweet from the base of everest! But i still dont get why they couldn’t throw a tower over to the bay area because its terrible over here…… speaking of such bay area teams are clobbering sports minus the football area. I really dont care for baseball but im happy a team is making it and playing so solid. then again you have a million people saying they have been a giants fan for their entire life since 2010. They are playing super solid and i wish them the best of luck finishing and embarrassing the Rangers.

So i havent done this in a long time and i think its much needed.

Since starting my first semester at SFSU (San Francisco State University) it has been a wonderful experience thus far but its not that school that calls for this emergency rant. The campus is wonderful, its literally in the middle of no where but hey because of its location it separates itself from the crazy world of SF life and gives students a refreshing campus to be on, fresh air, space and plenty of grass and trees to sit back and drop the stress that college inevitably comes with. Minus the hipsters and all the girls who dress like they are H&M mannequins i love my current stay in the city. Though my stay in the city is short its the commute home that kills me. An hour and a half each way on Bay Area Rapid Transit is enough to make me not even want to show up to class.

Recently i found it incredibly hard for me to find a perfect balance between pushing myself further in education and work in combo with a social life. I find myself getting mabe 4-5 hours of shut eye before i begin the whole cycle over again this time as a zombie. I no longer have days off and the days off i have are the days i go to school. I am finding a terribly hard time getting into gear for school because i am putting work as a priority over school because i am doing so well at work. Its funny how the other day on my way home from school my ipod played Growing Old is Getting Old by the Silversun Pickups which i found very ironic that it played by random at the time where i was thinking about how its so damn true. The older you get you realize your so deep in stress thats you second guess even wanting to grow up, at least i do.

Basically my point is that growing up sucks, is it worth the stress/headaches/pain in order to better yourself? Of course at the end everyone will answer it with a “yes”, but in a society where going into debt to achieve a greater education isnt frowned upon mind boggles me. Basically my life right now consists of Caffeine, Expresso shots, junk food, textbooks and cigarettes. If this is the college life then i guess i have to accept it with open arms.

on a good note. I have been to 3 concerts in a month, Silversun Pickups/Against Me, Passion Pit, Jimmy Eat World. I am hoping to add Interpol, MSTRKRFT, pretty lights to the list very soon.

lets talk about some stupid shit.

Japan warns on pace of biodiversity loss – (Article found HERE)

So Japan addressed this at the beginning of a UN conference. Saying that the loss of biodiversity is at its all time high and that we need to use our technology to help slow down or reverse its effects. (Species under threat include 21 percent of all known mammals, 30 percent of known amphibians and 12 percent of known birds, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature.)

I am by any means not a environmental jerk and hate the earth. But why does it always ALWAYS take “the worst its ever been” for us to begin an act on a world stage? By the time its addressed its probably too late.
In order to reverse these effects if its even possible….we need to use our “tech” to help. therefore we do more damage creating this tech so it just buries ourself even deeper in the hole of environmental conscience.
